Are we enforcing Stack Overflow's English-only rule?

On est en train de discuter cela ici: Are we enforcing Stack Overflow's English-only rule? Mais s'il se passe que quelqu'un pose une question dans une langue non-anglais (que je parle), peux je répondre ou dois-je la marquer pour la fermer?

Merci à votre avis.

Hey Tibor! All discussions on [meta] must be in English as stated per this meta post. Could you please provide an English translation? Thanks! – user46 Aug 8 '12 at 17:21
  • @BryanDunsmore Yeah, but than then the question itself would be less "meta" :D I was basically asking if someone asks a question in another language (which I speak), should I immediately vote to close or try to answer nevertheless (so as to aid the OP). – user13 Aug 8 '12 at 17:23

The best move would to translate their post to English if you can and then answer it. =P – user46 Aug 8 '12 at 17:24

Whilst I do believe that questions on the main site should be accepted in multiple languages, I don't think meta questions should be, as the community cannot effectively discuss them. I have answered as such on the duplicate. – Alex Chamberlain Aug 8 '12 at 20:57
  • @AlexChamberlain You can post this as answer :) – user13 Aug 8 '12 at 21:32
